You may Bring your Own (BYO) Kayaks if you wish to do so - single boats only.
Boats must be in position by 9am - you must have a spray deck - Chief Water Marshall Ciaran Maguire will advise on morning of the race whether these are mandatory

Weather forecast is looking good for Saturday so we hope to be able to cut down on the Mandatory Kit Requirement but you should bring all of it just in case - Mountain Weather can be unpredictable and variable and people do get injured - that might be you!!!!

Wave starts for Expert will be at 10.00 and 10.30
Wave starts for Sports will be at 11.00, 11.30 and 12.00
Each wave will have approx 100 in it and fastest (elite) will start first for both Expert and Sports races

We have decided to use a punched start timing system which will facilitate anyone looking to change waves on Saturday morning within reason - wave size will have an overall limit of 116. This can be done on Saturday morning so no need to mail us about it.
A simple explanation of the "Puched/ dibber " timing system is available HERE

Tulfarris Hotel will be serving quality food n Drink after the event so you are asked to support them as they have us by giving us valued lake access and transition area facilities.

After event hooley/ seisúin mór will be in the Ballyknockan Inn on Saturday night

This is close to TA2 which will be available for camping on Saturday night - nominal charge for the farmer of €5/ hd and toilets are available in the adjacent farmyard you will run past on Saturday on your way down toward the lake.

Approximate course distances and order of the disciplines are:
